Do Overs

Author’s Note: This was written back in 2013 while I was undergoing cancer treatment.  Check out my video below for how I feel today. 🙂

Day Two Hundred Thirty-Five
Do Overs And Resets

I am finding
that each day, each moment,
is the chance
for a do-over.

When things don’t go well,
I get a chance
to go back
and do them again.

When my health doesn’t go well,
I get a chance
to work with it
to reset it.

When my day doesn’t go well,
I get a chance
to replay it,
to revise it.

When life doesn’t go well,
I get a second chance,
a chance to live
and reset my course.

Do overs are always given,
but it’s what I do with them that matters.
I have to show up
and keep practicing.

I know there are times
when I will fail.
eventually, if I keep trying,
I’m bound to get it right.
