The Learning

The Learning

Lesson One
The Book of Revelations
12:11
“And they overcame him with the blood of the Lamb,
and by the word of their testimony;
and they loved not their lives
until the death.”

God wins
by losing.
The cross isn’t
what God did,
but it is his very being:
love
crucified.

He doesn’t ask you to rise,
he comes down in to your darkness and says,
“Can I come in?”

And I remember thinking,
that is the greatest love story
ever
told.

Yet,
once the relationship is established
there comes in John 5:6-8
“When he saw him lying there
and learned that he had been in that condition
for a long time,
he asked,
“Do you want to get well?
Then, get up!
Pick up your mat and walk!”

It is easy to be sick.
It is hard to want to do the work
or believe it is possible
to get well.
Last I heard,
you are the Christ,
the Christ is in you.
You have the power
to crucify
and sacrifice
things that do not serve you
in order to rise and get well.

Crucify anger.
Crucify, anxiety.
Crucify loneness
Crucify lust.
Crucify hate.
Crucify illusions
Crucify bad habits.
Crucify.

What can you die to today?
Hoka Hey!

Think you can not?
Oh ye of little faith,
you are a child of the God most high.

When will Christ come?
When you are ready.
John 14 1-4.
“Don’t be troubled.
Trust me.
There are many rooms
in my Father’s home,
and I am going to prepare a place for you.
When everything is ready,
I will come and get you
so that you will always be with me
where I am.”

And where is that?
It’s here (in the mind)
and here (in the heart).

 I love this song.

It reminds me to keep “dying” to myself

in order to reach my highest self.

Then, go back into the world

and help others do the same.
